In person & online

Voice, our own special imprint and instrument we carry until our end, is probably the most ancient and primitive source of sound we have experienced as humans and used in the creation of music.
Welcome to my teaching page! I offer in person and online lessons, focusing on the exploration of the human voice – both as a primary medium of expression and as a versatile instrument.
Each lesson is tailored to you and your individual artistic goals, whether you’re seeking historical performance practices, coaching on technical aspects, or widening the spectrum of your own expressiveness.
Drawing on my background in classical, medieval and contemporary music, my areas of focus are:
Breathing & healthy vocal production
Healthy singing is achieved with the gentle contact and vibration of the vocal folds, along with balanced breathing support.
Our bodies can voluntarily control these interdependent mechanisms, which will help us maintain a long-term vocal health.
Anatomy & Physical Awareness
Physical awareness or as-called “kinaesthetic intelligence” describes our connection with the body and how its different mechanisms function.
By understanding our anatomy and practicing exercises in posture, physical strength, and relaxation, we aim to develop a conscious awareness of our body, achieving both physical and spiritual freedom.
Classical Singing Technique
Classical singing training focuses on developing vocal strength, control, and, most importantly, a technical foundation that can later adjust to various vocal styles.
Breath support, pitch accuracy, and resonance are essential for producing a rich and powerful sound and developing a versatile skill set (or vocal palette).
Medieval Music
Historical research, context, repertoire, and stylistic nuances of music from the 11th to the 15th century.
Through music and singing, we delve into Western medieval traditions, rituals, poetry, and the thoughts of humans who lived centuries ago – yet continue to inspire and enrich our perception and holistic development today.
Contemporary Music & Extended Vocal Techniques
Each piece demands a unique voice and character. Contemporary music lessons equip singers with tools for vocal expression that go beyond Western classical technique and develop skills for contemporary vocal aesthetics.
We explore modern compositions and unconventional vocal techniques such as vocal fry, screaming, inhalation phonation, and overtone singing. By experimenting with these extended techniques, singers gain a deeper understanding of vocal mechanisms and the embodiment of diverse vocal identities.
Traditional Music
Exposure to different Western and non-Western traditional singing techniques broadens a singer’s knowledge, spirit, and vocal capabilities.
As a contemporary music vocalist, there were numerous projects in which I had to conduct research regarding a specific tradition (Greek, Indian, African, Bulgarian, Arabic, Japanese), and this incomparably enriched my experience of music, sound and voice in invaluable ways.
I’m looking forward to meeting you and sharing the beauty of singing!
